Japanese Rice Lunchbox Artwork makes me nostalgic for crappy music...oh, and hungry

Japan really seems to kick our asses on the whole pop culture / materialism is life thing. And I've gotta hand it to 'em, they really know how to make rice lunchboxes both appetizing and artsy.

I can't speak or read a word of Japanese, but I'm pretty sure this Japanese blogger is awesome (unless of course he's coupling the artwork with really racist diatribes and we're all too stupid to notice or care). The effort and work put into these things is admirable, and while there are a ton of great album covers rice-ified, here are some of my favorites (musical taste notwithstanding):

Extreme's Pornograffiti: I love the idea that there was as much care and effort afforded to the authors of "More Than Words" as there was the Rolling Stones
Red Hot Chili Peppers' One Hot Minute: Dave Navarro sucks, boo... yeah I get it.
Loud Rocks Complilation: Really? Can we be expecting a NOW! 24 in the near future?

A video of the rice-tist hard at work on Rage Against the Machine's Evil Empire:
